The instrument is used to obtain Raman spectra. Based on the specific vibrational characteristics of the sample, Raman spectroscopy is a powerful tool for the structural characterization of molecules and materials. The instrument can measure a single spectrum at a sample surface or a Raman mapping with high spatial resolution can be done as well (linear mapping, area mapping). Both measurement modes can provide information about the sample structure, its surface chemistry, or possible defects. DXR Raman Microscope can be applied in various fields, such as polymers, carbon chemistry, archeology, geology, life sciences, or environmental monitoring.
For each excitation wavelength, these components are included: a high-brigthness laser with laser line filter, a triplet spectrograph, and grating. The detector used is -50°C TE-Coooled CCD.
